H.E. Garchen Rinpoche founded the Drikung Mahayana Center (DMC) in 2000. The Center provides an opportunity to generate an appreciation for one of the world's great religions and cultures. While DMC seeks to preserve the practices and insights of the Drikung Kagyu Lineage, because Garchen Rinpoche holds multiple lineages, DMC supports and sponsors teachings from other lineages. We welcome people from all cultures and religions to attend.
Rinpoche's primary U.S. center is the ☯ Garchen Buddhist Institute located in Chino Valley, Arizona. We are a small sister organization located in the national capital area. We do not have a physical center, and currently operate from a member's home. We welcome all levels of participation or support.
The Drikung Mahayana Center is recognized as a nonprofit organization by the ☯ Internal Revenue Service under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are tax deductible.
